“The National Crime Industry reports that a theft occurs
every 10 seconds in American homes. A typical burglar will spend less than 5 minutes in your home and will know exactly what
to take before most home alarm companies can respond.”
Why do you need a home inventory service? Insurance
companies express the importance of homeowners and businesses maintaining an inventory, or detailed list of assets. But very
few people actually follow this advice. This usually results in the loss of tens of thousands of dollars when a claim is made,
not to mention the delay in the claim being processed, since there was not sufficient documentation to support the claim in
the first place.
A written inventory is not enough. Detailed information needs to
be provided in a format that will quickly provide insurance companies with the right information at the time a claim is made.
Home Inventory Services provides you with a portfolio of detailed
digital photographs, video and a complete itemized inventory of your personal property. Our service was designed with the
claims process in mind, so every bit of information that your insurance company will require is detailed in advance. Home
Inventory Services is your assurance that your insurance policy will compensate you the way it was meant to.
Home Inventory Services' personal property documentation services
are not only beneficial in times such as natural disasters or theft, but also for assisting with estate planning, divorce
settlements, pre-nuptial agreements, and general asset verification.
Why do I need you to do my home inventory? The most likely answer to that question is because
you haven't done it yet. Creating an inventory of your home is one of those "good ideas" you just haven't been able to get
to. We have developed an efficient, professional method to complete your documentation with a minimum of hassle and in the
least amount of time possible.
How long does it take? Is it expensive? An average home can be inventoried in hours. Larger properties
or extensive collections can take longer. Because we are prepared to document your belongings quickly and efficiently, our
services are surprisingly affordable.
What about security? You can rest assured that you will find our representatives clean, kind, courteous,
knowledgeable and professional. We realize its your home we’re being invited into and we understand your concerns. To
that end, you can rest assured that anyone we send to your home is there to solely to:
• Inform you of the services we provide • Provide the services you request
Secondly, we respect your right to confidentiality and will vigorously defend it to the full measure of the law. You
and your possessions are nobody's business but yours. Our business is merely to document. Home Inventory Services will
not disclose your information to anyone save who you request us to.
Will you provide an appraisal of my property? At this time, no. We suggest you contact a professional
appraiser if you wish certain items appraised. Other than that, the values listed with your property descriptions will be
based on your estimates if you do not have receipts.
My house is not “perfect” right now. Could we schedule this later? It’s natural
to want your home to look its best, but keep in mind that the purpose of a home inventory is to protect your belongings. You
don’t need to change your lifestyle or spend hours cleaning and re-organizing before you inventory. We do ask that pets
and children are supervised for safety purposes.
What about “Confidentiality?” Home Inventory Services understands that the documentation
of client’s property must remain confidential until such time that our client discloses it. We back that commitment
up with a written guarantee that all information attained during our service will never be sold or given to any other company
or individual for any reason short of a lawful court order.
